Who are we
Divyang Development Society is a national not-for-profit organization representing approximately 12.3 million deaf people in India.* The current education system in India does not prepare Deaf and hard of hearing children to lead a productive life. The emphasis on the development of oral skills undermines the much more important goals such as cognition, social skills, emotional maturity and development of a language.
Divyang Development society aims at working closely with various government and non-government agencies for the overall development and wellness of the deaf and hard of hearing community. We wish to fill the hearts of these children with the beauty of expression and the art of communication.
The team at Divyang Development Society helps empower deaf and hard of hearing children in their combat against silence and let them express themselves.
